Our Concept

What makes our chicken tenders unique? They’re made fresh and cooked to-order every single day. 

We start with the best chicken tenderloin available. That never-frozen, always-delicious white meat is trimmed by hand, dipped in a light breadcrumb coating, and cooked to perfection right when you order. 

Add a hearty side and your choice of custom dipping sauce, and we’ll have you coming back for more!

Our Family

The Bird is owned by siblings Tyler, Clint, and McKell Maddox. Great food is in our blood; we grew up working with our parents at C&B Maddox Famous Chicken in Layton, Utah. 

When we opened The Bird, our focus was simplicity. We built a menu focused on family-friendly comfort foods that are fresh, delicious, and affordable. 

We started with gourmet chicken tenders and bites, real mashed potatoes, creamy mac n’ cheese, coleslaw, veggies, and fresh-baked cornpones with raspberry butter. We also installed a self-serve “sauce bar,” where customers can mix their own custom dipping sauces.

As parents of young children, we designed the Family Feast to be a quick and easy option for busy families—picky kids included!
